In the Classroom – Stamping

At the beginning of the school year, Pat Benard subbed two days for Katrina Plato, the art teacher at Harris Middle School.  Pat worked with 78 students from grades 1-7. On the first day the students used found objects to make impressions in clay, which were then to be fired and used on clay frames. On the second day students impressed designs on styrofoam squares with pencils, then brushed paint on them and made a series of stamps on paper.
